Access and Facilities

Wheelchair access

In Hobart, wheelchair access to the Criminal Court is available from Salamanca Place by taking the laneway to the right of the Court and following it around the building to the ramp at the entrance of the Court. Access is available to the Civil Court from Salamanca Place via the Andrew Inglis Clark Law Library entrance.

In Launceston access to the Court is available from Cameron Street.

In Burnie access to the Court is available from Alexander Street.

Lifts

In Hobart a lift is available to the Civil Court from Salamanca Place through the Andrew Inglis Clark Law Library entrance. There is no lift in the Criminal Court building.

There is no lift in the Court at Launceston.

In Burnie a lift is available to the Court through the entrance from Alexander Street.

Signage

The Hobart Supreme Court has extensive signage to help you find where you need to go. The signs refer to the two court buildings (Civil and Criminal) as wings.

Toilets

Public toilets are available in all Court buildings.

Robing Rooms

Robing rooms are available in all Court buildings.
