Following a submission of the Law Society of the 5 July 2005 the Standing Committee on Costs and Fees recommended an increase of 15% (except in respect of photocopy charges).
Some alterations have been made to Part 1 in an effort to update it. One of those alterations is the substitution of 100 words for folio (and a respective increase in fees).
Part 2 is amended to bring counsel's fees in line with those payable in complex actions in the Civil Division of the Magistrates Court.
Parts 3 and 5 have been amended to distinguish between costs and filing fees in order to avoid the need to amend those parts when filing fees are increased.
